Comment: Looking for my 916 shipmates. We all heard the scary stories Petty Officer Swain (our RDC) warned us about. What happened to you or how did you succeed 916? She inspired me; I am now past the military and going to use my bachelor’s degree in London this summer! I still reflect on her advice and I didn't like her when she was my RDC! Now I miss her advise, "Keep running, I am not tired yet!" (As she sat on the bench) I loved our division! I miss it. I would relive it even with the foot funk. 916 Rocks!

Comment: Put the cart before the horse. Posted before I read. Here I am again. Just wanted to say I am impressed with the site. I am glad so many women from so many places and from so many years have posted. It is amazing how much and how long the military has been home to so many of us. I have 4 years active and 18 years guard time, all of it in aviation. If there is anyone out there who would like to talk helicopters, with the exception of flying them I have been there done that. I wouldn't trade my time in the service for anything. There is nowhere you can go where such a diverse selection of people are FRIENDS and FAMILY. Just put a military tag on your car and you will meet family members you didn't even know you had. We are always on the look out for each other. Hope to meet some of you all one day.
