Comment: stumbled onto this site while looking for something
else. i started out at the tender age of 14 1/2 in
CAP, went into the army at 18. got married and tried
to finish my military career in the NVARNG, but circumstances would'nt allow me to finish my last few
years. took my basic in ft. mcclellan and than onto
ft. eustis (useless) va. i went into the NVARNG in
1972 as soon as i found out they allowed former WAC"S
into the guard. i am now 64 and too old to rejoin.
i miss it, but will support our guys as much as my
job will let me.

As you can see, this is one of my biggest accomplishments in my life, and I want to share with those who are trying to figure out it is for them too. Comment: I served for three great years in the Army, that period in my life was one of the best times. I got out Apr '01, I had two children, I got out on a Chapter 8 with my second pregnancy, I now have second thought about that. I'm struggling now to lose some excess weight from two children and planning on coming back in before I make a year out. Don't get me wrong, I love my children too, but serving in the United States Army, I found myself, I learned who I was and who I can become, I miss it (some of it), but I know my family (my husband already being a SGT(p), will make it. I know that I could have been there right with him. I'll get there, I'm not worried.
